This 21-hour course is intended to meet the accreditation requirements of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators (OAFM), for accreditation purposes. It is a required course for all participants who are not mental health professionals, such as lawyers, paralegals, and others. The course introduces participants to family related dynamics and issues which are present in family mediation, expanding participants’ understanding of issues such as family systems theory, mental health issues, attachment in family relationships, and child development.
