FAMILY MEDIATION TRAINING COURSES
Taking our full suite of courses allows you to become an Accredited or Certified Family Mediator. These courses have been accredited by the Ontario Association for Family Mediation and also qualify in other provinces. Some of the courses also have additional accreditation for other regulating bodies such as the Law Society of Ontario (see Domestic Violence course for further information). If you are not in a province requiring certification or accreditation these courses provide the essential skills to develop a mediation practice.
If you are planning on being accredited in Ontario, please confirm that you have met the pre-requisite for education and work experience. There is more information about this here.
The following courses have also been certified by the Saskatchewan Law Society for approved CPD hours as follows:
Fundamentals of Family Mediation: 25 CPD hours, 1 of which are ethics.
Screening for Power Imbalance and Domestic Violence: 19 CPD hours, 11.5 of which are ethics
Advanced Family Mediation: 19 CPD hours, 2 of which are ethics
Please let us know, confidentially, if you have any accessibility needs. These needs may include accommodations for hearing or vision loss, specific hours of availability as a result of medication/medical visits, etc. If you think we should know so that we can be more helpful and accommodating, please tell us and we will do our best to assist.
Courses can be purchased individually or in a course package. We also offer convenient monthly payment plans. We are also pleased to introduce our new course concept for Working Professionals. This will put the entire suite of courses on a once weekly evening, with three full Saturdays, allowing you to complete your training entirely after working hours and at a pace that will let you complete the courses in approximately the same amount of time as others. Click here for more information.
